Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information FBReelsDown (“we”, “us”, “the Service”), available at fbreelsdown.com, collects, how it is used and the choices you have.
1. Information we do not collect
You do not need an account to use FBReelsDown. We do not ask for, collect or store your name, email address, phone number or Facebook / Instagram login.
2. Links you submit
When you paste a Facebook or Instagram link, our server uses it only to locate the publicly available video file. Results are kept in temporary memory for up to 10 minutes to speed up repeat requests and are then discarded. We do not keep a history of the links you submit or the videos you download.
3. Downloaded videos
We do not host or permanently store any videos. When you click a download button, the file is streamed from Facebook’s or Instagram’s servers through our server directly to your device in real time and is not saved on our side.
4. Technical data
Like all websites, our server receives your IP address and basic browser information with each request. We use your IP address only to prevent abuse (rate limiting); it is held in memory for about one minute. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs for security purposes for a limited time.
5. Google Analytics & cookies
We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd., to understand how visitors use the site (for example pages visited, approximate country, device and browser type). This helps us improve the Service.
- Consent first: analytics cookies (
_ga,_ga_*) are only set after you click Accept in the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are stored. - No advertising: Google Signals and advertising features are disabled. We do not use your data for ads and we do not sell your personal information.
- IP addresses: Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
- Change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.
- You can also opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. Data processed by Google may be transferred to and stored on servers outside your country, including the United States.
6. Local storage
We store two small preferences in your browser’s local storage: your light/dark theme and your cookie consent choice. They never leave your device.
7. Legal basis (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the EEA or UK, we process analytics data only on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time. Processing for security and abuse prevention is based on our legitimate interest in keeping the Service safe (Art. 6(1)(f)).
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act or California’s CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to withdraw consent and to object to processing. Because we do not hold data that identifies you, we usually cannot link any record to you, but you can contact us at contact@fbreelsdown.com and we will help. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
9. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA) and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it was last changed.
